Soft tissue surgery and surgical procedures

At Medical Pets Ensenada we have a team of veterinarians experienced in soft tissue surgery: the procedures performed on skin, muscle, internal organs and body systems, outside of bone. From a routine spay to the removal of a tumor, we prioritize the safety and well-being of your pet at every stage.

We perform a wide range of procedures: spaying and neutering, removal of tumors and skin masses, gastrointestinal surgery for foreign bodies or obstructions, bladder stones with cystotomy, hernia repair, reproductive surgery such as pyometra, mastectomy and wound reconstruction.

Safety starts before entering the operating room. We do a pre-surgical assessment and, when indicated, blood work to understand your pet overall health and tailor the anesthesia to each case.

During surgery we work with balanced anesthesia and continuous monitoring of vital signs, and we apply pain control before, during and after the procedure so your pet recovers as comfortably as possible.

We also guide you through recovery at home, with clear care instructions and follow-up until sutures are removed. We consult in person and remotely; to determine whether your pet is a candidate for surgery, an in-person assessment at the clinic may be needed.
